In case this ever happens to you…
I’ve heard of brake lights not working, but not brake lights that won’t turn off! Last evening, that very thing happened… After a little bit of consultation of the Oracle of Knowledge (Google), I discovered that it probably had something to do with the brake pedal switch thingy. (That’s the technical term.) Took it to the shop this morning, and they replaced my “brake pedal grommet.” Good as new ($54 later).
Oh, and we’re loving our new gas grill.

“brake pedal switch thingy”
Hey, what kind of car are you driving these days??? I hope eventually before your 29th B-day… you’ll slide yourself over to the Arcade and learn how to drive a car with a Manual Transmission… simulated of course!!!
Believe it or not… its about the GOALS of someday getting the “Porsche 911″, and don’t be modest… its okay to say what you WANT.

Yup. Do you have a VW? My 2002 Passat had the issue. It was a recall on the Jetta but not the Passat. They tried to tell me it was a different issue. A year after I got rid of my Passat, I thought I saw something about them recalling it. Stupid people. That’s part of the reason I got rid of the car because they gave me such bad customer service about the brake light.
Be careful if you use cruise control. The brake light being stuck on made it impossible for me to get out of cruise control by pressing on the brake. I had to manually shut the cruise control off on the steering wheel. A bit scary to have that happen going 75mph.
Good luck!
